Short, clumping, cool season  grass.  Foliage turns golden in the fall and is topped with silver seed heads. Wonderful for naturalizing meadows, along rail fences, or rock gardens. Best in sun or part shade, average soil. Will tolerate light shade. Drought tolerant once established. Zone 4-9. Best massed or inter planted  with other drought tolerant perennials in a rock garden or meadow.  Nice fine textural complement to yarrows, geraniums, sedums, and heucheras.
