An all summer blooming Helen’s flower. A tall clumping plant with stiff leafy stems bearing bright, multi colored, single disk flowers with winged rays. Ordinary garden soil in full sun, tolerant of poor soil. May need minimal watering in hot dry spells. Hybrid of native parentage. Zone 4-8. Plant in back of sunny borders with ornamental grasses, boltonia, helianthus, joe-pye-weed, asters, and Russian sage.
