A dwarf monarda. Rosettes of yellowish, purple-spotted, tubular flowers occur in whorls, forming a dense, elongated spike at the end of the stem. Sun to part shade in moisture retentive soil. A must for the butterfly garden. Plant in borders or at woods edge with chelone, fillipendula, Siberian iris, campanula, boltonia, and asters.
