Low bushy mounds of glossy green leaves produce fuzzy buds that open to satiny, magenta pink, rounded blooms in the morning. All season bloomer. Loves a hot, dry site. Full sun in well drained average to poor soil. Extremely drought tolerant. Zone 6-10. Long lived perennial for the front of the sunny border or rock garden. Plant with dwarf iris, blue flax, iberis, dianthus, and sedum.
