'Magical Gold' is known for its greater abundance of larger sized flowers, that make this Forsythia appear as a dense mass of spring welcoming deep golden yellow. Recommended for boarders, hedges, to be planted in mass or alone as a specimen.

Deer resistant, clay soil and black walnut tolerant, and moderate drought tolerance once established.

Full sun-part shade. Best flowering in higher sun. Loose, moist, well-draining soil. Zone 5-8.

Blooms on old wood- if desired to maintain appearance, prune immedatedly after flowering
