Basal tufts of glossy, narrow, green foliage sends up stiff stems with tubular red flowers. Similar to it’s showy, large annual cousins, but more reliably winter hardy. Does best when in full sun with well-drained soil. Great plant for a hot dry area. Plant with artemisia, catananche, poppies, yucca, sedum, verbascum, butterfly weed, liatris, and yarrow.
