One of my favorite introductions. This petite phlox has smaller flowers than most summer phlox but is absolutely covered with them. It is fragrant, mildew resistant, and attracts butterflies. Plant in average to rich well drained soil in full sun or light shade. Do not overcrowd- good air circulation is imperative to preventing mildew. Combine with daylilies, daisies, delphiniums, poppies, and ornamental grasses. Do not plant with monarda, heliopsis or other perennials likely to get mildew.
