Well behaved but vigorous twiggy shrub grown for its honey-scented spring flowers and brilliant yellow-orange-red fall foliage that persist. 'Mt. Airy' is our Fothergilla with the best ability to handle full sun. Use as a specimen or accent, alone or massed, boarders, foundations, or small hedge.
Attracts pollinators.
Full Sun- part shade. Average, moist, rich, well-draining. Zone 5-8.
Colonies may spread if root suckers are not removed.
