Salvia Verticillata Purple Rain

A woody based, mound forming plant with wavy heart-shaped leaves. Produces wave after wave of flowering spikes. Does best in well drained sandy or loamy soil in full sun.  Especially valuable plant where summers are hot. Plant in middle or edge of sunny border. Combines well with coreopsis, oenothera, rudbeckia, yucca, hyssop, daylily, sedum, yarrow, daisy, iceplant, and coneflower.

Zone 5-9.
