Sempervivum Black

Evergreen plants that are an intriguing blend of dark red/black and green. Succulent with round rosettes up to 6 inches wide that spread by “hatching” smaller rosettes (chicks) from the main plant (hens). Thrives in full sun in a wide variety of soils, even pure sand, but they must have good drainage. Like it hot and dry. Excellent grown in rock gardens, miniature gardens, porch boxes, garden vases, strawberry jars, dry stone walls, and between paving stones.
