A tall, vertical accent plant with broad, dark green glossy basal leaves that produce tall dense spikes of flowers. A good cutflower. Cut when 1/3 of the raceme is open. Plant in full sun in average, well drained soil. Good heat tolerance. Clump forming perennial for sunny border or cut flower garden. Plant with daisies, daylilies, coreopsis, balloon flowers, artemisia, asters, yarrow, iris, lychnis, and oenothera. Zone 4-8.
