Dwarf hydrangea with glossy leaves and large flowers. Recent introduction from Germany. Very study stems and compact habit. Mildew resistant. Likes abundant moisture but not wet feet. Deep humus soil preferred. Protect from winter winds. Good level of mildew resistance. Growth habit should require no pruning. Zone 5-9. Plant in front of shady borders with astilbe, tall ferns, toadlilies, solomon seal, turtleheads, and lilies.
