This Magnolia has an upright pyramidal form adorned with tulip shaped light yellow flowers that bloom in mid-late spring. An excellent specimen or accent for sunny areas in the landscape.
Tolerates air pollution.
Full sun - part shade. Rich, neutral-slightly acidic, moist, well-draining soil. Zone 5-9. Protect from winter winds, however, avoid planting on southern side next to building where warmer/protected conditions could encourage flowering too early.
Apply mulch to maintain moisture at root zone.
Blooms on old wood - if needed, prune immediately after flowering.
