pH dependent double blooms will emerge green throughout summer and by late summer, mature to either pink/red, violet or blue in late summer depending on soil pH. Useful in foundation planting, or in the shrub border and due to its smaller stature this hydrangea can work well in containers.
Part shade. Average, consistently moist, well - draining soil. Zone 5-9.
Attracts pollinators including bees and butterflies.
Blooms on old and new wood - hard pruning is generally not necessary except to remove death and damage which can be done at any time. Trimming may take place after the first round of blooms fade.
