One of the most popular hydrangeas, this tree form of ‘Limelight’ offers a unique upright structural element, and an alternative to snowball blooms with it’s upright, lime-green to pink, cone-shaped flowers. Flower clusters are carried in airy tiers above dark green foliage.
Full Sun - part shade. Any rich, moist, well-draining soil. Zone 3-9.
Attracts pollinators.
Blooms on new wood - prune in late winter/early spring.
Larger flowers occur when shrub is thinned to 5-10 primary shoots. When in full bloom, the weight of the flowers may cause the branches to arch downward.
