Tough, hardy, drought resistant succulent with rounded near black foliage that produces open clusters of flowers in late summer. Varying shades of reddish flowers. Full sun in well drained average soil. Zone 3-9. Back bone of an easy-maintenance sunny bank or rock garden. Low spreading form is great on walls, front of borders, and along walks.
