This showy, fragrant lily grows from buried bulbs of overlapping scales. The flower stalks bear whorls narrow green foliage, with clusters of flowers at the top. The large, fragrant flowers produce a deep maroon center with creamy white tips. Excellent cut flower. Grows best when planted in rich, well drained soil, in part sun to part shade. Zone 3-8.
