Thick, dark green foliage grows beautiful feather like violet purple flowers. This species is great for cut flowers and mass plantings. Full sun in well drained average soil. Grows best in average to moist, enriched, well-drained soil and full sun. Also grows in part shade but blooms better in sun. Shear back after flowering.

Zone 4-8. Deer and rabbit resistant. Attracts bees and butterflies.
