The way the frilled, deep pink edges bleed in to the white center of the Rhododendron's trusses of flowers look as if they were painted in watercolor. What's more, these flowers feature and abstract red detailing almost resembling that of an orchid. All this gorgeousness is placed upon the decadent rich green foliage of this broadleaf evergreen. 'Cherry Cheesecake' looks great when planted in mass, as a specimen, within boarders, as a hedge, or within woodland or shade gardens. 

Attracts pollinators including butterflies and hummingbirds. Rabbit resistant. 

Full sun - part shade. Acidic, rich, humusy, consistently moist, well-draining soil. Protect from strong winds. Zone 5-8.

Consider planting in raised bed if planting in heavy clay soil.

Apply mulch to protect shallow root system as well as maintain soil moisture and stabilize soil temperatures. 

To lower pH add an acidifier such as sulfur of iron sulfate, to increase pH add limestone or lime to soil. 

Remove spent blooms immediately after flowering.
