Tight and compact in habit, 'Puffer Fish' forms strong stems that are able to hold up the enormous pure white panicles which are so floriferous as to obscure the foliage from early summer to early fall. This hydrangea makes a fantastic addition to borders, containers, the landscape, and looks great as a specimen, or in groups. Those huge panicle flowers are make for nice cut flowers, either fresh or dried.
Full sun - part shade. Average, moist, well-draining soil. Zone 3-8.
Attracts pollinators.
Blooms on new wood - prune in late winter/early spring.
Apply tree/shrub slow release fertilizer in early spring.
