Cotinus Grace 2 Gal

'Grace' Smokebush is a deciduous large shrub or small tree of rounded foliage that emerges dark red in spring, becomes a bold red for summer, and finally turns shade of red, orange and gold in fall. In summer, huge hazy/smokey panicle plumes bloom purplish-pink. Makes for a most exquisite specimen, and can also be used as a hedge or in borders. 

Full sun - part shade. Average, moist, well-draining soil. Zone 5-9. 

Attracts pollinators including butterflies, deer resistant, clay soil tolerant. 

Blooms on new wood - may be pruned immediately after flowering. For fresh new growth, at the expense of flowering, Smokebush may be cut back hard in late winter/ early spring.
