Azalea Conversation Piece

With is lustrous, compact, evergreen foliage and late spring frilled flowers of white and pink with a deep pink, orchid-like detailing, this captivating Azalea is sure to attract attention. Works well whether planted as a specimen, in groups or in borders or beds.

Part sun - shade. Rich, acidic, humusy, moist, well-draining soil. Protect from high winds. Zone 5-9.

Attracts pollinators, deer resistant. 

Consider planting in raised bed if planting in heavy clay soil. 

Apply mulch to protect shallow root system as well as maintain soil moisture and stabilize soil temperatures.

To lower pH add an acidifier such as sulfur of iron sulfate, to increase pH add limestone or lime to soil. 

Remove spent blooms immediately after flowering.
