‘Squeeze Box’ is a native alternative to boxwoods. It’s form is upright, with greater height than spread. ‘Squeeze Box’ is male so while it can’t produce berries, it pollinates female Inkberries within 50’. A lovely specimen, hedge or garden plant.
Full sun - part shade. Average, consistently moist, well-draining soil. Zone 5-9.
Attracts bees, deer resistant, heat and salt tolerant.
Blooms on new wood - prune after blooming in late spring.
Apply tree and shrub granular fertilizer in early spring. If desired, may be fertilized once a month from early spring through late July.
