Combine in borders with yarrow, balloon flowers, garden phlox, cranesbill geraniums, and lilies. Combine in wild garden with boneset, hibiscus, joe-pye-weed, and queen-of-the-prairie.

Blooms July to September with large, bright fuchsia purple flowers.
