Rich colored flowers, compact, large shaggy heads, more resistant to powdery mildew than older varieties. Bee balm spreads quickly. Combine in borders with yarrow, balloon flowers, garden phlox, cranesbill geraniums, and lilies. Combine in wild garden with boneset, hibiscus, joe-pye-weed, and queen-of-the-prairie.
Blooms July to September with large, bright fuchsia purple flowers.
