This variety forms a dense clump of narrow, dissected foliage and is covered with flowers beginning in the spring. This species also provides improved garden performance. Blooms in early to mid spring. Expect sporadic re-bloom until fall frost. Dark purple superior petals with lilac blue interior petals. Plant in poor to average, well drained soil, and full sun to partial shade. Doesn’t require constantly moist soil. Zone 4-8.
