Very large clump forming plant with thick rootstock growing very large, lobed, deeply cut glossy deep green leaves and tall, thick branching stems bearing fluffy plumes of flowers. Tall, fluffy plumes of tiny red flowers on thick branched stalks. Grow in deep fertile moisture retentive soil in sun or dappled shade. An annual mulch of organic matter is beneficial. Zone 5-8.
