This Baptisia is on the smaller side, making it great for urban planting. The pale yellow buds open to a creamy white bloom that emerges in late spring. Full sun in well drained, average soil that is not overly fertile. Very good tolerance to poor soil and drought. Long lived plant that should not be disturbed once established. Baptisias are native to the US. Zone 4-8 . Good middle of the sunny border plant that will have a shrub like effect. Plant with asclepias, asters, echinaceas, garden phlox, iris, liatris, and salvia. Provides a good focal point in border.
