This variety has the most flowers of any Smokebush yet and they bloom for weeks! The blue-green foliage stands out in the garden and compliments the early summer, large soft panicles of bloom that appear as misty “smoke." Can be trained as a large shrub or small tree. Makes a great specimen plant, but can also be used as a low hedge or mass planting.
Deer resistant.
Full sun. Average-fertile, moist, well-draining soil. Intolerant of wet soil- avoid low-lying areas. Zones 4-8.
Blooms on new wood- pruning is not usually required but if you need to do so, it should be done in the spring.
