Highbush blueberries are attractive dense, rounded shrubs that produce edible blueberries in midseason. Self-fertile, but better fruit set will occur with two different cultivars. Extremely cold hardy.
Full sun - part shade. Best fruiting in full sun. Rich, acidic, consistently moist, well-draining soil. Zone 3-7. Protect from winter winds.
Attracts pollinators.
For maximum berry production: Prune flowers the first year of planting to encourage vegetative growth. After 3 years, remove oldest 1/3 of canes.
