Lilium Oriental Scorpio

Showy flowers with intense fragrance grow from bulbs of overlapping fleshy scales. Flowers stems bear whorled narrow leaves with several flowers and buds at the top. Upward facing, fragrant, dark red flowers with a slight pie crust ruffle edge sit atop the foliage. Excellent cut flower. Partial shade or a cool sunny spot in moist, but well drained, rich, alkaline soil. Plant bulb at least 4 inches deep. Can be left undisturbed for years and allowed to multiply naturally.  Zone:  4-9
