This evergreen perennial offers a dense clump of narrow, linear grass like foliage. The stiff, upright stalks rise above the foliage and produce showy flowers. Poisonous to humans and pets if consumed. Showy, rounded clusters of fragrant,  bold blue flowers. Great cut flower option. Will do best when planted in average,  moist yet well draining soils in part sun to part shade. Do not allow the soil to completely dry out unless dormant. Can be propagated by division every few years in the spring. Plant with most any other part sun part shade perennial in mixed borders, containers, or alone in large swathes for beautiful color. Attracts pollinators and resists deer and rabbit damage.

Zone 8-10.
