Hosta Briar Patch

This prickly looking hosta emerges with blue in the spring fading to a blue green in the summer. The pointed leaves are folded with heavily rippled margins. Forms a symmetrical mound of intensely ruffled leaves.  

Long lived, easy to grow plants in filtered sunlight or full shade. Grows best in rich, moist soil but tolerant of dry shade. 

Zones 4-9.

Mini and small hostas are perfect as border plants along paths or when you need to fill a small space in the shade garden. They thrive in dry shade even in competition with tree roots. Great plants for troughs and patio containers placed in shady areas.
