Native woodland plant that forms clumps of tall, arching stems with toothed heart shaped leaves that bear a loose spray of blooms in fall. Native to North America. Average to dry soil in part shade. Will take full sun with more moisture. Good naturalizer under trees or at woods edge for fall color. Makes an excellent filler for fall cut flower bouquets. Deer resistant, attracts butterflies. Zone 3-9.
