Purple Dome has a compact mounded form that is covered with dense clusters of flowers in the early autumn. The flowers come in so thick that you can barely see the leaves. Excellent mildew resistance. Prefer somewhat moist soils, not rich. Will grow well in scrub land. Zone 3-8. Plant with Sedum, Daylillies, Mums, and Grasses.
