Elegant shade loving plant with fern-like, lacy foliage that emerges in spring with a red tint and changes to medium green. Relatively trouble/pest free plant. Long scarlet-red plumes are held above the foliage. Excellent option for cut or dried flowers. Plant in rich, evenly moist yet well draining soil in full shade to part sun. If planted in a sunny spot be sure to maintain adequate moisture. Deer and rabbit resistant, attracts pollinators.
