Spikes of unique, oversized flowers are held above the foliage. The blooming sequence creates an interesting two to three-toned color effect. Blooms emerge a light lemon-over-cream, then to light and eventually medium violet. Attractive seed heads. Full sun in well drained, average soil that is not overly fertile.
Very good tolerance to poor soil and drought.
Long lived plant that should not be disturbed once established. Zone 4-7. Interspecific hybrid of our native baptisias.
