Baptisia Australis False Indigo

Well branched plant with grey-green or bluish leaves. Leaves have 3 rounded leaflets and a deep taproot. Seed pods can be used in arrangements. Average to rich, moist, but well-drained soil.  Full sun or Light Shade. Will tolerate  drought once established.  Has done very well in our gardens.Is Native to the U.S. Zone 3-9. Use in the back or the border with peonies, irises, oriental poppies, or ornamental grasses. Plant airy plants such as columbine, bleeding heart, cranesbill in front.
