Excellent groundcover for fall bloom. One of our favorites. Summer foliage is shiny green, turns pinky-red in fall. Slow to emerge in spring. Light shade and well-drained soil. Dormant plants cannot tolerate soggy soil. Zone 5-9. Mass for a nice groundcover to fill in around shrubs and spring bulbs. Also nice with bronze foliaged heucheras. Deer resistant.
