Digitalis Purpurea Dalmation Purple

F1 hybrid foxglove that flowers the first year and has a large flush of flowers the second.  Will reseed afterwards, but won’t be true to seed. 

CAUTION:  TOXIC IF EATEN

Grow in moist, humus rich, but well drained soil in partial shade.   Remove central spike after blooming to encourage flowering side shoots.  Zones 4-8.

Erect, elegant plants for the shady border or use to naturalize a semi wooded area with campanula glomerata, dicentra, aruncus, and anemone.

Rabbit and deer resistant.    Attracts butterflies and other pollinators.
