Vigorous free-flowering plant that forms a mound of deeply divided, dark green leaves. Blooms cover the plant in late spring and then plant continues to sporatically bloom  till frost.  Drought tolerant. Full sun or part shade in average soil. Will tolerate dry soil. Slow spreading can grow for many years in the same spot without division. Zone 4-8. Great plant for sunny rock gardens, banks, and front of borders. Plant with mountain pinks, cushion and donkeytail spurges, arabis, and aubrieta. Attracts butterflies and other pollinators.
