Grass Panicum Virgatum Heavy Metal

A really attractive blue foliaged switch grass. Tight growing, upright clumps of sky-blue blades are topped in the fall by a haze of silvery inflorescence with tiny rust colored accents. Looks good in mass plantings. Pink-hued seed heads appear in September. A back of the border or screen plant. Plant with monarda, rudbeckia, coneflowers, and asters.

Zone 4-9 | Tolerates: drought, wind, and salt spray | Full sun to park shade, in well drained lean soil.
