Heliopsis Bleeding Hearts

Dark purple foliage with black stems with a sturdy habit.  Reliable first year flowering.  ‘Bleeding Hearts’ makes a good cut flower. Carefree sun lover that does well in dry soil. Summer staple border plant because of its long blooming time.  Heliopsis are native over most of US. Zone 3-9. Put in the sunny border in mass or in the center of an island bed.  Plant with daylilies, yarrows, echinacea, liatris, scabiosa, lavender, santolinas, and perovskia.
