This compact, early and large-flowering clematis blooms raspberry-pink flowers twice a year. Attractive dark green foliage provides a wonderful background for prominent flowers all season long. This vine can be trained to climb on walls or trellises, or can sprawl as a ground cover.
Full sun - part shade. Average, moist, well-draining soil. Zone 4-9.
Attracts pollinators including hummingbirds and butterflies.
Blooms on old and new wood - avoid pruning as it will remove either first or second round of flowers. Vine tips may be trimmed in early spring, this will still allow lower down, old-wood buds to bloom.
Apply mulch at root zone to keep soil cool and uniformly moist.
