This hardy evergreen perennial has dark green, leathery leaves. Crisp white flowers with delicate looking golden centers are produced in winter through to spring. Shade to partial shade in alkaline soil. Do not fertilize in summer during their resting period, mulch and fertilize in fall for best bud count in spring. Zones 3-9. Plant in shady borders or light woodlands. Plant with ferns, hosta, tiarella, lungwort, cyclamen, and sweet woodruff. Deer Resistant.
