Exotic in appearance but very hardy, valuable shade plant with evergreen, umbrella like, serrated, leathery foliage that remains decorative all year and very early long lasting blooms. Plants multiply by seed to form colonies. Three inch double apricot flower with a light pink picotee edge. Shade to partial shade in alkaline soil. Do not fertilize in summer during their resting period. Mulch and fertilize in fall for best bud count in spring. Deer resistant. Zone 4-9.
