Hosta Hybrid Fire Island

A small sized hosta that forms a mound of shiny, bright gold, slightly corrugated, wavy leaves with good substance.  Prominent red petioles.  Yellow color loses intensity into the summer. Long lived, easy to grow plants in filtered sunlight or full shade. Grows best in rich, moist soil but tolerant of dry shade. Smaller hostas can be grown in containers and shady rock gardens.  Zone 3-8.
