Hosta Patriot

Award winning hosta with dramatic variegation and purple shoots. Leaves have dark centers and a striking broad white margin Foliage remains crisp in heat and humidity.  Sun tolerant. Long lived plants. Grow best in rich, moist, but well drained soil in filtered sunlight. Mixing an abundance of organic matter into the soil when planting and then mulching over the years keeps hostas looking their best. Water during periods of drought and protect from slugs.  Zone 3-9.
