Tropical looking, flowering plant with basal clumps of large, deep green leaves, sturdy stems of large trumpet shaped flowers slowly rise in clusters above plant as the season develops. Deep, fertile soil in full sun to light shade. Mulch for winter protection. Late to break dormancy in spring, mark their location. Plant with tropical looking plants for the sunny border with daisies, salvia, veronica, Siberian iris, baptisia, campanula, and linum.
