Fragrant wands of blooms with a soothing scent in early and midsummer.  Foliage is neat and compact.  It has good rain and weather tolerance.  Blooms are good for cutting and drying. Average to rich, well drained soil in full sun. Established plants are drought tolerant and deer resistant. Prune back or divide to encourage new growth. Zone 4-9. Makes a splendid low hedge or specimen plant. A must in the herb and dried flower garden. Plant in sunny borders with yarrow, daylilies, dianthus, oenothera, sea holly, and rock cress.
