Full sun or part shade if in a hot spot with excellent drainage. Great for crevices in a rock wall. Zone 3-8. Do NOT overwater, especially in winter. Beautiful flowers for the rock garden or a dry wall or trough.
Note - The genus is named after Virginian, Meriwether Lewis, leader of the Lewis and Clark expedition, the first to cross the north American continent in 1804-1806.
